Very Nice driving school. As a french foerigner with little to no driving experience, I took the new drivers package: 6 hours of driving classes, the driving exam, and an online class regarding safety ( The online class is pretty useless, to train for the learner’s permit, the online pdf are way more efficient).

The instructors were very nice, eventhough I speak poor english, they still did small talk for the whole classes, which is very good to put me in a driving mood.
The lessons were excellent to train for the exam, I felt ready and passed easely.

Examiner was amazing! So calming and supportive! I failed at the Shillington DMV and just passed at John’s this morning! A nice examiner really changes the experience entirely. And at a good price too, only $100! Would definitely recommend going here if you’ve got the $100! There is no reason for the examiner at Shillington to be so intimidating! Parallel parking spot’s cones are a bit different than the Shillington dmv, but just use what you know already from the DMV’s cones and scale it down to the thinner cones they use here. It definitely seems harder than it is!

Due to the Covid19, my son’s driving test was cancelled. I figured once the DMV would finally open, it would be extremely busy with everyone trying to get their drivers license. I didn’t realize you could just take the drivers test at Johns Driving School. I thought you had to take their classes in order to take the test. So I signed my son up just for the driving test. He was scheduled within days. My son was nervous, like most teenagers would be, but the instructor was nice and my son felt at ease. He passed and the whole experience was well worth the $99.

On the day I took my drivers test the instructor was kind and I felt like he really wanted me to pass. He took the time to assure me and calm my nerves. The testing process was smooth and well worked. I was in and out with no obnoxious DMV lines. I would recommend going straight to John’s and avoiding the DMV. This is the place to go! These people are the best. My 17 year old son has been practicing with me for months. John’s gave him 1 lesson prior to taking the test. The instructor went over every exact skill he would need to know for the test. He took his test 6 days after the lesson. He scored perfectly. He was so prepared and it totally lessened his jitters. You can take the test right at their school on Trenton Rd in Fairless Hills. The lesson was reasonably priced and the test was only $99. The guy who gave the exam was very nice and joked around with us. It was an excellent experience and I highly recommend you take at least 1 lesson with John’s, if not more. Worth every penny. The instructors were outstanding and really helped my daughter in her pathway to being a licensed driver. One of the best things that I could’ve done for my son was to get him the lessons. He was able to learn do much more than I could’ve taught him. Being a single mom I needed the extra help and he was able to learn from different individuals. By having the instructors come to the house to get him for the lessons I was able to have some more free time available to me. Through the 30 hour theory course my son was able to understand some of the laws and the functions of the car better. The driving test was more relaxing to my son since he didn’t have the horrible anticipation of having to wait in any lines. Scheduling everything with the front office was a breeze too. John’s is a great company with excellent communication to the parents about their children’s progress too. I will absolutely have my daughter go through lessons with John’s also. ZERO COMPLAINTS.

My instructor for my first and third lessons was Jenny, and working with her was an absolute pleasure. In just the first lesson alone she helped me go from wicked nervous to somewhat comfortable at the wheel. During my third lesson she taught me how to parallel park and run the course that is taken during the driving exam, and helped me get both down pat in a matter of an hour. During my second lesson though, Anthony was my instructor, and he was quite the teacher too. He helped me get over my immense fear of the highway, and also majorily improved my turning and stopping skills. He also taught me perpendicular parking, and with his tips it almost felt like second nature by the end of our lesson. Thanks for everything Jenny and Anthony! Hi! Okay so I’m Kenzie. I’m 16, I’ve been a pretty good driver if I say so myself. I got signed up with J.T. and I’m really happy that I got him. J.T. was confident in me, and made sure I did everything right and that I bounced right back. He taught me how to drive defensively and how to be a safe driver. I was mostly worried for parallel parking but it was super simple. I got a paper from the school that had the directions in complete detail. We went down to Philly in the North East neighborhoods, we had some crazy people down there. J.T. kept me safe and made sure I kept bouncing back. I met other instructors and some of the examiners and they are all super genuine people. They want to see the best and they want you to get your license and become a good driver. If I would be able to take classes again I would totally do it. It was so fun and educational and I feel super comfortable driving now. Had a great experience using John’s driving school for my son. They were prompt and courteous for scheduled lessons. They verbally shared feed back upon return from the lesson. I loved that they shared assessments via email after the lesson since I may have forgotten the initial verbal feedback. I sent my son to John’s for young Driver training, and driver testing preparation. He had 3, 2 hour training sessions, with three different instructors, Mr Rhodunda, Mr Carroll, and Mr Milorey. They communicated that he picked it up rather quickly and by the final instruction he was proficient in most areas of instruction and commendable in a few others. I can say that he had some proficiency, however, he was reluctant to listen to much of what I was telling him. His instructor arrived on the first day a few minutes early and introduced himself. He was clean, courteous, and exceedingly professional. He told me what he would be working on with my son that day, and then after the lesson he called me and gave me details about how he did, then a little later I received an email detailing how proficient he was at each of the tasks, as well as what it is that he needed a little more practice on before the next lesson. Bill Watkins was FANTASTIC to work with over the course of my many lessons. My driving fear morphed into driving love in only a few weeks. I had never expected such a turnaround. And I give much credit to his particular approach with me — a respectful, friendly, peer-to-peer approach that I think was very appropriate, and very helpful, for someone who’s not a teenager but nearly 40. JT’s approach with me combined wonderful warmth and encouragement with absolute vigilance to safety and road rules. Let me start out by saying I’m 43 and because my license was expired for a year I had to start from scratch to get my license reinstated. I called John’s and I was able to take the on the weekend. The examiner was very nice and even made some jokes given I’m slightly older than the normal test-takers. They are very professional, efficient and definitely watch as you parallel park and go through the course. The price was very affordable, $99.00 if you have your own car. To be completely honest, I never finished the 30 hour course that came as part of the package I purchased, but my driving sessions were really good, my instructor was extremely friendly and helped to get me much more comfortable behind the wheel. My exam was fairly quick and the examiner could see how anxious I was and did his best to calm my nerves beforehand so I could focus during my exam. Would recommend to anybody who needs to learn or just brush up on their driving skills.

All I want to say is if you have the $99-$150 book your exam with john’s driving school (front st location) asap! Don’t waste your time dealing with penndot (lady at ogontz location) they’ll fail you even if you know your stuff that’s why they say you get what you pay for, penndot doesn’t care if you fail it’s free! They’ll just tell you to book another appointment and have you wait a month or two with john’s you’ll, be a licensed driver in no time the one thing I will say is your gonna want to hope they give you Mr.Mitch . No exaggeration he’s probably hands down the best instructor anyone could get. I taught my daughter the basics and she was pretty comfortable but then she asked if she could further her preparation with John’s. I am really really glad that we did. I have been driving for years (well, actually decades) and there are things that I just do from habit, maybe not following the rules 100% , for instance, where exactly to stop at a stop sign… ?? things like that. They gave her all of the correct information and believe me, now she knows. (And tells every time I do something incorrectly!) They also had good tricks and tips for parking, little things to make it easier to remember. She had 3 different instructors, but I think you can take all your lessons with same person, if your prefer. They were all good but Anthony was AWESOME! He boosted her confidence and she was actually a better driver after her lesson with him. It is worth the money, especially if you want to let someone else suffer through merging onto a highway for the first time with a teenager!

I did some research and the cost of the school (30 hour online course, 3 – 2 hour driving lessons & driving exam) seemed expensive compared to the savings you get from the insurance company. I think it was more than 2 years before I would get the money back so we decided not to do it. It came time for his test and I was just not comfortable with him driving yet so I bit the bullet and signed him up. Let’s just say it was the best money I ever spent and I regret not signing him up earlier. He is now a confident driver and I am confident with him out on the roads. Got the New Driver package for my teenager and was very impressed with the driving lessons and test. My child had about 30 hours going into the first of the professional lessons. The instructors were knowledgeable and professional, arriving promptly and approaching the training in an organized manner. They did a great job making sure my child was skilled in lane changes, highway driving and parallel parking, and made sure he had all the driving details for the driving test. On testing day, the driving test was right on time with a very calm and relaxed tester. Loved that we could use their car he had taken lessons with. Only criticism is the online drivers education platform they use. The lessons were pretty static and the tests had lots of typos. So impressed with the driving education we are looking at getting one of the Street Safe packages.

Mitch was my examiner at the Doylestown location. Very nice and professional. Unfortunately I failed at the very end but plan to retest in a few days. Highly recommend you use this service if you are as anxious as I am to finally get licensed. Just know that pass or fail you pay the fee. And if you retest you have to pay again. Praying I do well the next go round. Ok.. for the 2nd test I had Jay at Fairless Hills. Again, very nice and professional. I failed yet again due to a rolling stop. Tips for the experienced drivers, Take it back to the basics!!! I learned how to drive 16yrs ago and I’m use to driving like your average driver. Remember to make full stops, watch your speed, and take it easy. It’s not a race. The examiners can totally tell a new driver from an experienced driver. Try not to talk as much so you can focus on the task at hand. PASSING. Please pray that I pass on my 3rd time as I am 9 months pregnant officially and a anxious hot mess. This is a personal goal of mine and I know I got this. Just need to take it easy and focus. Will update in a few days 🙂 Update: I passed. Impeccable service and staff. Please know that the team at Johns are there to support you. They’re very fair and honestly want you to do well. Ignore the negative comments and give Johns a try. You will not be disappointed.

My mother had recently signed me up for John’s Driving school after I failed twice at the DMV. My parents understand that I knew what I was doing, I just was very nervous. One of the driving instructors took me and practiced parallel parking. Ken was his name. He taught me the right way, and I passed the parallel parking portion with flying colors. Then the on road part. When I went for my test, a man named Mitch gave me it. He was so nice and kept small talk with me as I took my test, which calmed me town. This was my third try getting my license and I passed, Scott is who took me out on the road and gave me a lot of great tips before my 3rd try. But overall definitely recommended coming here to take your driving exam, it’s pretty easy nothing to be nervous about the whole team is so nice and Scott being out on the road boosted my confidence way up, just take it easy follow what they say and just like that you got it. If you fail don’t worry everyone gets there license just all you gotta do is listen carefully to the tips he’s telling you on. I could not be more pleased with John’s Driving School. What could be a better gauge of the quality of the teaching than – she passed her driver’s test on the first attempt, and with flying colors. I had spent a lot fo time teaching my daughter how to drive before I even engaged the school. She picked up my teachings very well and quite quickly. However I wanted to give her more. The fact that the instructors are current/ex Police Officers was a real draw for me. I wanted someone that wouldn’t just teach her how to drive – I already did that – I wanted someone to teach her how to drive well. Provide feedback and guidance beyond the basics. Her instructor, Rob, was fantastic. He gave her exactly what was needed. They spent a lot of time focusing on skills beyond the fundamental basics. We were told about John’s through friends who had their kids use the school, and they told about their experience. I can say there were spot on. Professional, punctual and skilled. A perfect combo. I cannot recommend John’s Driving School enough.

I had two different instructors spread out by months and each were extremely nice. My last instructor was able to teach me how to parallel park with three simple steps and I was able to catch on in about 15 or 20 minutes. My experience with John’s Driving School was by far the most influential part of my learning experience. They worked with me to build my confidence in my driving and were very cooperative in working around my schedule to find times to fit lessons in for me. Going into my first lesson I was very nervous, however by the end of the final lesson I came out a very confident and safe driver- I then used all the skills they showed me to pass my lisence test with them (which was scheduled not even a week later, no waiting for months to get fit in!). My daughter arrived for her road test very nervous, as it was her second attempt. Her 1st time she failed at the DMV due to being really nervous and messing up the parallel parking. But, this time around after lots of practice, Julie her instructor at John’s calmed her nerves and reassured her. She passed with flying colors. We used John’s vehicle and what an ease of driving My daughter said it was. The whole process took maybe 30 minutes. The facility on Front Street in Philadelphia was organized and courteous. The woman behind the desk was also very kind and friendly. I would NEVER recommend going to the DMV for testing again! This is the place to go! Top notch-high class-organized and efficient! I am 41 and I have been driving for 25 years. I have not had a citation in 17 years. I signed up at PennDot Lebanon, the first available, waited weeks and got a proctor that failed me. He did not tell me why he failed me. He gave me no scoresheet or details to work on. We did not even complete the entire test.

Tired of waiting, I signed up at John’s for four days later. I needed my license this week because I am taking a motorcycle class this weekend. I had a friendly, courteous, and insightful proctor who treated the road test for exactly what it was: a formality.

Needless to say, I passed with a near perfect score the second time around.

When going to John’s Driving School I didn’t know what to expect. Someone had told me that on his first lesson he got taken out on the road but luckily I had 30 hours of driving at that point so that wasn’t a worry . On my first lesson I met a guy named J.T. He is a very great instructor he made me feel like I was in the car driving with a family member. One thing that I knew I would fear at first is backing out of parking spots considering I had some trouble with it in the past but with the help of J.T. I got over that fear no problem and it even helped me with parallel parking far as backing in to the parking spot. The 3 lessons he took me through really improved my driving skills. The lessons prepared me so much that 2 weeks later I took my test and passed it with ease. Without John’s driving school and J.T. I don’t think I would have gotten parallel parking and backing out of parking spots as fast as I did. Thank You!
